Nigeria's lithium corridor
The Baruten Project lies within an underexplored hard-rock LCT lithium belt in Kwara State, geologically comparable to proven pegmatite districts in Zimbabwe, Mali and the DRC.
Airborne geophysics by KBAB Geoscience Consult identified four priority targets. Ground-truthing in July 2026 confirmed Targets A1 and B2, and Phase 2B field work is now underway. LCT mineralisation is still to be confirmed by XRD and laboratory assay.

Where the project stands
Our programme moves the licence from airborne targeting through field work and assays to an independent Qualified Person report and defined drill targets.
Corporate structuring and licensingComplete
Delaware parent formed. Nigerian subsidiary registered (RC: 1428794). Exploration Licence EL-073592-001 granted on eMC+ and Notification of Grant released in September 2026. Cross-border legal and regulatory advisers engaged in Nigeria and the US. Transfer of the Nigerian subsidiary to the Delaware parent in progress.
Phase 1 geophysics and Phase 2A reconnaissanceComplete
KBAB Geoscience Consult completed the desk study, airborne geophysical interpretation and reconnaissance. Ground-truthing on 27–30 July 2026 confirmed Targets A1 and B2.
Phase 2B mapping, geochemistry and ground geophysicsUnderway
Geological and geochemical mapping on a 400m × 200m grid: 155 samples (149 soil, 6 stream sediment), 8 pits, and around 100 line-km of ground geophysics across the confirmed targets.
Phase 3 assays and Qualified Person reportNext
XRD and laboratory assays to confirm LCT mineralisation, followed by an NI 43-101 compliant Qualified Person report to define drill targets. Engagement of an independent Qualified Person is in progress.
Why lithium, why Nigeria, why now
Lithium is the base of the batteries behind electric vehicles and grid storage. Africa holds a large share of known reserves, yet remains lightly explored.
Energy transition demand
Global lithium demand is projected to grow more than tenfold by 2040 as electric vehicles and grid-scale storage expand.
African opportunity
Africa's LCT pegmatite belt runs through Zimbabwe, the DRC, Mali and Ghana, and increasingly Nigeria. Exploration density is low.
Nigeria's mining reforms
The Ministry of Solid Minerals Development is encouraging investment in hard-rock mining, and the Kwara Lithium Corridor is emerging as a national priority.
